Application

Excellent solvent, used as metal surface treatment agent, cleaning agent before electroplating and painting, metal degreasing agent and extraction agent of fat, oil and paraffin.
Used in organic synthesis, pesticide production.
Trichloroethylene is used to produce tetrachloroethylene and can be used as an insect repellent. It is used in the production of hexachloroethane as a deworming drug for animals to prevent liver and stomach bdelliasis, orchidasis and nematodiasis in ruminants.
