1. Tetrachloroethylene is widely used, mainly as metal degreasing solvent, and also as an anthelmintic. 2. It is widely used as dry cleaning agent for natural and synthetic fibers. It can also be used as degreasing detergent for metals, general solvent and organic synthesis intermediate.
3. It is used as a standard material for chromatographic analysis. 
4. Insect repellents and fat extractants for adhesives, and organic synthesis.
