Vinyl acetate is a colorless flammable liquid with a sweet ether aroma. Relative density (DI8) O.9317. Melting point -93,2ºC. Boiling point 72.2 ºC. Flash point (open cup) -1ºC. Refractive index 1.3953. Miscible with ethanol, soluble in ether, acetone, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride and other organic solvents, insoluble in water. Easy aggregation.

Application

1.Vinyl acetate is the main raw material to produce Synthetic vinyl.Vinyl acetate through itself aggregate, or copolymer with monomer to get polyvinyl alcohol, and acetic acid vinyl-vinyl total polymer (EVA), and acetic acid vinyl-chlorine vinyl copolymer real (EVC), and acetic acid vinyl-propylene nitrile class fiber, and acetic acid vinyl-acrylic ester class copolymer real, they all have important industrial usage,can be widely used as bond agent,and building paint,and textiles sizing agent and finishing agent,and paper enhanced agent,and to produce security glass.Vinyl acetate andethanol, bromine reaction of acetaldehyde diethyl acetal bromides. This is the intermediate methyl imidazole drugs.
2.The commonly used intermediates used in the production of polyvinyl alcohol, paint and adhesives.
3.Used for organic synthesis.
